He Did It! He Did It! He Did It Yeah!

Those of you familiar with Dora and Diego are now happily singing one of their theme songs:-)
Joey lost his first tooth before school this morning. Yippie!

Last night before bed, he got brave and let me touch the tooth with my fingers covered by a piece of toilet tissue. He said the tissue would keep it from hurting. I asked him if I had permission to try to yank it out. He was very motivated for a visit from the tooth fairy, so he said yes. I yanked on it twice with my thumb and index finger with no luck. It bled a bit and was loose but wasn't coming out.
This morning, Joey gave me permission to yank on it again. It came out the first time. It was veyr loose at that point and almost laying sideways, so it came out pretty easy. He and I were so proud:-)

Saturday Morning Fun

I was blow drying my hair one minute. The next minute I was teasing Johnny by blowing him and he was smiling big time. That turned into me grabbing the camera and getting pics of Johnny smiling. But then Joey insisted on getting into the act. Before I knew it, we'd done a whole cute, funny, zany photo shoot again:-) All the pics are here.
Enjoy!

Time for the Tooth Fairy...Almost
Joey winced in pain last night and this morning when I brushed his teeth. I was alert enough this morning to ask him to let me see what the problem was. It turns out one of his lower middle 4 teeth is loose. Even though Jacob lost a tooth last week, I just wasn't prepared. Thankfully, he is excited. I asked him to please bring it to me if it falls out but explained that if it gets lost (swallowed), that we'll just write the tooth fairy a note and all will be well. I could just see him crying in horror that he'd missed out on his money because his tooth was lost.
Joey's first tooth was a bottom one, and it came in at 3.5 months (early) before I was even on the lookout for teeth. He'd been fussy for a few days (we was not a fussy baby), and Debbie suggested that I look in his mouth for a tooth. Not only did he have one, but it was 1/3 of the way in. No wonder he was upset. Sore gum for sure! Others followed quickly. None of them ever caused him to be very fussy. I think I only gave him Tylenol 2-3 times for all his baby teeth!
Here's a cute pic of him around the time the tooth came in.

Here's another around 6.5 months where you can actually see two bottom teeth in.
Yep, they grow up:-)

Hanging the Pictures
I hung my pictures at Coffee and Crepes tonight after work. It took me almost two hours to get them up. I was able to mostly use the cords and hangers that were in place, but I did have to get on the ladder and make a few additions and adjustments. I was able to hang 11 small 8X10 pics and 6 11X14 pics. All in all, I'm very happy with how it turned out. Now, you know me well enough to know that I took pictures. However, if you want to see, you'll have to stop in and see for yourself;-)

Cary Art Loop Friday Night
This is a reminder that my photography will be on display at Coffee and Crepes at the Crossroads shopping center in Cary from Wednesday, 2/27 - Monday 3/24.
I've been working on framing up pics for the show this week. Most are 8X10 prints in 11X14 frames, but a few are 11X14 prints in 16X20 frames. I sure hope I can get the pics/frames moved without breaking anything. There's a lot of glass! I'll be stopping in to hang the prints on my way home from work on Tuesday, 2/26...tomorrow! I'm excited.
If you have a few minutes this Friday night 2/29, please drop in to Coffee and Crepes for the Cary Art Loop from 6PM - 9PM. I'll be there to meet folks and talk about my pictures.
You can also view some of the pictures that will be on display by visiting my SmugMug site. The Best of the Best album contains quite a few of the prints that will be on display.

Is that a leprechaun?
No, but it is Joey and Johnny having a good time decorating for St. Patrick's Day. The rest of our pics from today are here.
