Marbles Kids Museum Spooktacular

The kids, Teen, and I went to Marbles Kids Museum today for their Spooktacular event today.  Hopefully it's obvious that we went at Star Trek officers.  Joey was Data, I was Uhura, Madi was Nurse Chapel, Johnny was Spock, and Teen was a Next Generation/Deep Space 9 Officer.  The kids enjoyed the glow-in-the-dark science lab, the costume parade, and dancing to Halloween music.

Donnie and I had shrimp for lunch today.  It came in our Carolina Grown order today from Haag & Sons Seafood.  Very nice white shrimp.  I cooked it in a foil pouch with lemon, salt, pepper, red pepper, and garlic for about 11 minutes.  It was yummy!

We went to Porter Farms and Nursery on the way home from school today.  It ended up being the worst time ever sun location in the sky wise.  Oh well.  It was our first and possibly only chance to go so I made the best pics I could but everyone is squinting at least a bit...sigh.  Madi took the two pics below.

Madi turned 9 today.  I forgot to take her picture before school and only had a few minutes after school.  We were rushing out to baseball again.  I'll have to give her a real photo shoot this weekend or at least several times over the upcoming holidays.  She's such a beautiful and smart girl.

I can't believe it's October 22nd already and that this is the first daily I've put up a daily with a pumpkin in it.  I'm getting slack.  This early morning shot from today was taken at Ball's Berries and Produce.

The kids tracked back into school today.  (Yippee!)  We had a great track out thanks to Donnie taking us to Washington, D.C. but it's time for us to get back to our normal routine.  I'm out this week still recovering from surgery.  Thank goodness I'm doing much better than I was over the weekend.  Thanks for your well wishes...

Here's Donnie looking out over next year's strawberry field.  Angel is Mr. Ball's dog.  She rules the roost at the produce stand if you know what I mean.

Here's a picture of Joey on his new used bike that we found for him at Guardian Angel.  Only $40 for a really nice 18 speed dirt bike.  The tires are in great shape, and the bike obviously was not ridden much and was kept dry.  I was super excited about this thrift store find!  Joey was pretty pleased too.

Aunt Debbie stopped by yesterday with Halloween goody bags for the boys.  Joey was super excited about his glow-in-the-dark Harry Potter magicians wand.

Last night was just terrible for me.  Fever of 100 and the worst pounding headache ever.  Seems unrelated to my surgery just some sort of virus.  I'm doing better today.  Headache is gone and fever is gone and I'm just a bit extra tired.
