Marbles Kooky Spooky Halloween (P is for Party)

SmugMug Daily Link

Joey, Johnny, Madi, and I attended the Kooky Spooky Halloween Party at Marbles Kids Museum tonight. We went last year, and the parties at Marbles are always a good time. Joey wore his Minecraft Creeper head costume. Madi was a Bumblebee. Johnny wore a C3PO costume instead of his robot costume so that he would be able to move around and play freely. He'll wear the robot on Thursday. I wore my Cat in the Hat costume. Been YEARS since I had it on. I figure the little kids at Marbles would enjoy it.  This is a shot of me d Joey from 2003 when he was 1.

Mystery Through the Window

SmugMug Daily Link

Believe it or not, this is also a picture I took at the fair.  A few of the buildings at the fairgrounds are older, and this particular one has higher frosty windows.  The lamppost just outside caught my attention!

Two Wheels

SmugMug Daily Link

I was excited to see that I could line up two of the ferris wheels at the NC State Fair this past Friday night.  Unfortunately, I could not line them up AND keep the tent roof out of the shot.  Still, I loved the colors and pattern.  I have cropped carefully and gotten rid of a few shadowy objects from the sides.  I  keep thinking I've posted my last wheel shot and then I find I have one more I want to post:-)  Thank you for indulging me in this series.

Wheel and Fireworks

SmugMug Daily Link

Another ferris wheel shot taken at the NC State Fair.  This is  yet another wheel.  Around 10PM, each night during the fair, they shoot off fireworks from Carter Finley Stadium, and you can see them high over the fair.  I took quite a few shots from 3 locations.  You should have seen me scrambling trying to get THE shot before the fireworks show was done.

Here is another fireworks shot from a different location.

Big Wheel Spokes

SmugMug Daily Link

Another shot from the NC State Fair.  Almost looks like lighted spokes on a bicycle tire, but it's really lights on one of the giant ferris wheels.  I am right under the wheel shooting up.  This one wasn't very crowded and I was able to get closer to it than the others.

O is for Orbiter

For Donna's alphabet challenge, O is for Orbiter.

Another shot from the NC State Fair.  Behind the sign, you can see the buckets of the sign spinning around and leaving some nice light streaks in the shot.  Not as impressive as yesterday's Enterprise shot, but still pretty cool.  I plan to keep 'em coming for a few more days.  I have several more wheel shots that I think are pretty cool.
