Life's a Beach
SmugMug Daily Link
I love writing in the sand when we go to the beach. I wish I had a better technique to write without the footprints.
In the Surf
SmugMug Daily Link
My favorite in-the-surf shot from our trip to the beach this past week. Johnny and Madi were having a great time riding the waves. The air and water temp were both around 77 degrees. Not warm but not cold either.

My What a Big Pumpkin
SmugMug Daily Link
The big pumpkins are ready carving at Porter Farms and Nursery. Johnny and I stopped to take some pics and to get some of their homemade ice cream. Yum!

Gulf Fritillary Butterfly
SmugMug Daily Link
Yesterday, the kids and I went to Fort Fisher which is near Wilmington, NC. I know blanket flower grows near the rocks along the shoreline there, and often I've seen Gulf Fritillary butterflies there as well. I was super excited to get this shot especially when it's been a dry season on taking butterfly shots at home.

Glowing Mad Scientist Tablescape
SmugMug Daily Link
I've worked hard last week to design this Mad Scientist Tablescape for Halloween. My goal was to get some cool pictures and to write an inspiring DIY article for GeekMom. Everything you want to know about how I created this tablescape is in the article. There are also more pictures taken with the blacklight and under normal light. Please take a few minutes to check it out.

Water Beads in Blue
SmugMug Daily Link
For Indigo's Blue Prostate Cancer Support Day
A picture I took while working on a tablescape project this week. Tinted blue using Picasa. You're looking down into a vase with water beads in it. This is before the water beads soaked up much water. More on this project later this week.
Here's a link to my latest GeekMom post on Project Feederwatach.
