Primered Family Room

SmugMug Daily Link

The sprucing up that we are doing on Donnie's house is going well.  Here is a picture showing the family room walls looking through the doorway into the hallway.  So far we've just put primer on the trim and walls.  The primer directions won't let you tint to the exact shade that the walls will be, but it's close.  The actual paint will be an apricot color from Glidden that I saw at Home Depot, but we are putting on Cashmere paint from Sherwin Williams.

Here's a picture from Glidden showing a room painted the apricot color.  Of course actual wall color may vary from your screen:-)

Orange Lily as Seen at Home Depot

SmugMug Daily Link

Donnie and I were at Home Depot today for paint supplies.  Our goal of consolidating households in July is on target. We are trying to paint the entire inside of Donnie's house, and each day we are working toward that goal.  I painted trim in one room today as Donnie painted the ceiling in another room.  I am sure by the time July gets here we can complete our goal and that I will be glad to never see a paintbrush again:-)

Johnny and the Stars

SmugMug Daily Link

It was picture night before the game tonight.  Johnny has come a long way this year.  He got to play 3rd base several times and was able to make a few outs.  He's really enjoyed the season and says he'll play again in the fall.

Bluebird Baby

SmugMug Daily Link

Donnie and I were pleased to discover Sunday morning that the bluebird babies were in the process of fledging.  In yesterday's daily, I saw the first baby sitting on the porch rail and grabbed a shot through the window.

After I watched him for a while and he flew off, I went onto the porch and saw another baby in the nestbox hole and two up in the nearby tree.  I posted what I think is the best shot as my daily for today.

We had a rainy and cloudy day but not threatening weather.  I hope to see them again in the front yard but who knows.
